Washington D.C.
Washington D.C.
Washington is the capital city of the United States. The embassies of countries from around the world are housed here, as well as many American government bureaus, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Important political institutions such as the White House, Capitol Building and Washington Monument are located here. There are also historical and cultural landmarks such as the Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial, which make the city full to the brim with a refined cultural atmosphere. Outside the capital, the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery are located across the Potomac River in Arlington, Virginia. Washington has an abundance of famous museums like the Smithsonian. After visiting some museums, you can go to restaurants where American presidents have eaten to get a taste of real American cuisine.

GLS***59We learned a lot of history from our DC by Foot tour guide, we never new that work on the Monument stop for 20 years. Now the completed Monument has different stone color around 1/3 up. We love the added story and it show some things are just the way they should be. Looks great as is.

Tony淇The U.S. Capitol is located on the 25-meter-high Capitol Hill in the District of Columbia, Washington. Americans regard it as the supreme symbol of ownership, governance by the people, and government for the people. The US Capitol was laid by President Washington himself and was built in 1793. However, the US Capitol, like other buildings in Washington, was not immune to the destruction of the war. After refurbishment, the U.S. Capitol is still standing there intact, with the addition of a dome, two chambers meeting rooms, and a rotunda.

fooler0809Before Pei I.M. Pei built the East Hall of the National Gallery, it was the closest exhibition hall to the Congress. It was very large. Although it was not in Europe, it still gave a shocking feeling of being in the Louvre. The collection is very rich.
