Taipei is the heart of Taiwan, featuring convenient transportation and a number of attractions that make it a first stop for visitors to Taiwan. Taipei 101 and Taipei National Palace Museum are two of Taipei’s landmark attractions. From the top of 101, visitors get a gorgeous night view of the entire city, while a visit to the National Palace Museum offers a profound experience of Chinese traditional culture. Taipei is also famous for the gourmet snacks available in its dazzling night markets, each with their own special characteristics. Among them, Yongkang Street is a veritable paradise for foodies. Literary enthusiasts come to Taiwan for the variety of independent bookstores in the area surrounding National Taiwan University and Taiwan Normal University. Huashan and Songshan Cultural and Creative Parks are also popular destinations for tourists of all tastes.
_FB***95Go to Shilin Station and walk thru the Bus station with the sign R30 and you'll be on your destination. Taipei Place Museum you can buy ticket online for hassle-free or go beyond the line it's up to you. Plus the audio it's separate from the online payment just to let you know. _We***27This was an awesome experience. The windows are a little tinted, I think to keep it from being so bright. You still get an incredible view of Taipei. There are also lots of souvenirs you can buy and snacks if your hungry.
DanaXimending is by the the biggest and busiest shopping district I have been into. It has everything, from clothing stores, to Buddhist shrines, to cool restaurants. When I was there, I was able to buy a couple of clothes because their clothing prices were quite reasonable. I also had my dinner in the famed Toilet Restaurant. I ordered a lot including the huge toilet bowl of Pork Soup set, a dessert, and the an iced tea, and my total bill was only NTD490. It was such an affordable meal, and you can find that affordable yet full servings meal in Ximending.
MicahOne of the most recommended night market to experience once you visit Taipei! I went here on my first night after visiting Yangmingshan because I needed to fuel up my stomach with the foods that is a must try to eat when in Taipei. I've tried different milktea, the famous hotstar chicken, stinky tofu, and many more Don't miss this once you're in Taipei.#taipei #tripdotcom #travelexperience #travelreview #travelwithtrip #tripmoments

Dadaocheng: the new trend of old Taipei
Dadaocheng is Taiwan's first international port and one of the birthplaces of Taipei culture. Even if the bustling scene is no longer there, it can't be missed, either for nostalgia or for viewing. Dadaocheng wharf is a good place to watch the sunset over the Tamsui River. Unlike the fresh style of Tamsui wharf, it has a more profound historical charm. Dihua street is the most important street in the Dadaocheng business area. Along the street, there are all kinds of buildings, such as Southern Fujian and western style buildings, and modernism and Baroque style buildings.
Beitou is at the base of Yangming Mountain, a hot spring town with a strong Japanese nostalgic style and one of the four hot spring towns in Taiwan. In addition to the hot springs, Beitou also has cultural museums such as the Hot Springs Museum, and the Beitou Public Library, which is also known as one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. Beitou and Yangmingshan can be organized as a 2 days and 1 night trip
