Seoul is the capital city of South Korea. The temples and palaces of this city tell a long and storied history. The magnificent natural landscape and modern skyscrapers merge together to form a city which is both young and cultured. Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces are ancient palaces, while Bukchon Hanok Village and Namsangol Hanok Village are well-preserved traditional Korean villages. Seoul is a shopping paradise. In Myeong-dong, Dongdaemun Market, Sinsa-dong and Samcheong-dong, you can find all kinds of cutting-edge fashions, including clothing, jewelry and make-up. Once night falls, Seoul is even more magnificent. Climb atop the YTN Seoul Tower to feast your eyes on the city's glittering nightscape. Visit the bustling city of Seoul during any season and you'll be in for a beautiful treat. We loved visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace to see the changing of the guard and the nearby Bukchon Hanok Village to see a historical and calm side of the city. he food was unbeatable at every corner from Michelin recommended noodles and spicy rice cakes to mouthwatering BBQ pork and fragrant kimchi dumplings. The GwangJang Market was an absolute highlight of our trip where we sampled plenty of local delicacies served at the variety of stands and restaurants. Myeongdong is a must visit for all the cute shops and unique cafes. You can pick up all the famous Korean beauty products on offer and try street food in between shops. DongDaeMum is another must see shopping area for Seoul's famous wholesale fashion markets and a variety of night markets selling popular local eats. At sunset we searched for anywhere with sweeping city views or a romantic spot beside the Han River to enjoy stunning skyline. Make sure to visit one of the city's many luxurious bars for a true treat and finish the night with late night Korean BBQ. A perfect weekend getaway for a group of friends or couple looking for a fun and exciting city.
Seoul has the most fascinating contrast between tradition and modernity. This beautiful village is the best proof of it.

There’s a place to find antique furniture in Seoul, its called “Antique Furniture Street”, and its located in Itaewon, easily accessible fom exit 4 in that station (Itaewon station). This street became famous with time as during the 60’s, american soldiers returning back home couldnt bring all their belongings with them, so they turned to this area to sell their goods. Now it consists of around 100 stores and the feeling in the area is like visiting old Europe.
#changdeokgungpalace’s #hukwonsecretgarden was constructed during the reign of King Taejong and served as a resting place for the royal family members.
The garden was kept as natural as possible and was touched by human hands only when absolutely necessary. Buyongjeong, Buyongji, Juhabru, Eosumun, Yeonghwadang, Bullomun, Aeryeonjeong, and Yeongyeongdang are some of the many pavilions and fountains that occupy the garden.#seoul #korea
