Chengdu is a city on the rise, one you will want to visit again and again. Chengdu has a long and storied history. It has a unique cuisine with a huge number of hot and spicy dishes, as well as an enviously relaxed pace of life. Historic Jinli’s overpowering sense of enthralling antiquity, adorable giant pandas and avenues full of hotpot restaurants all call out to welcome visitors from near and far. On the outskirts of town, you can find quiet solace in peaceful Qingcheng Mountain or the bucolic ancient town of Anning. It is a vastly different side of Chengdu. Chengdu is also a fashionable city. The nightscape of Jiuyan (the Nine Arched) Bridge and the nearby Kuanzhai Alley truly make people feel the fast-paced pulse of the city.
Sichuan RenA beautiful get away and only 2.5 hours by car. Tons of snow and good food. Definitely a 2 day trip, so make time for it. There is a small area to ski and other fun activities for children and non skiers. The hot air balloon only goes up to a short height, stays there for about 5 minutes then descends. not worth the money.
_FB***43What an absolutely incredible experience for our family of 4 Americans, including 2ten daughters. The mountain was lush with foliage and so green. The buildings were incredible and the views at the top were not too be missed. It was worth the trekk through the heart, humidity, and traffic to see this beautiful place.
M25***71Come to play on October 30th, very interesting place, Halloween theme. I've been here before, but after a few years, the flavor is still different. From 3 pm to 8 pm, I walked a few times and played in the haunted house all over the place. The haunted house is still crowded and fun
E32***63There are a lot of greens inside Du Fu's Thatched Cottage. It was a very nice place to walk around to enjoy the fresh air and greenery. The place is not considered very big. You can finished visiting the entire place in about 3 hours.

Chengdu Travel|There is a retro building with a visual sense of Wang Jiawei's movie~
is an old building that is very suitable for portraits. How hot is it?
When we followed the navigation to the yard, we didn't find any building, we wanted to ask the passerby. We didn't open it yet. The aunt immediately said, I know you are looking for the tower, just there. Go straight and turn left.
In such an old courtyard, our appearance can be said to be very abrupt, but the local people are not surprised, because there are too many people coming here to take photos.
The tower is really old, full of old buildings in the 70s, and some are worn out to be completely trimmed, let it be so broken, but it is very scene in Wang Jiaweis movies. That is the sense of sight.
Break is the biggest label here. It is such a special scene. Instead, it can produce a very retro portrait, so art is about creation, or lie is infinite creativity and innovation. .
Jinni ancient Street. During my trip I also have visited this walking street. In fact, I'm always visiting walking streets in every city I'm coming. It helps to feel locals.
Here everything is typical for regular walking street. Snacks, gift shops, species, thousand of people, everything is there. Buildings are beautiful, some food is tasty, some food is spicy or has too much oil. Well, can spend about half of an hour there.
Chunxi road. This is the city center and at the same time walking street. If Jinli street represented the old ancient style, Chunxi road in its turn reflects modern urban tone dominating in our life. This contrast makes visiting both places even more interesting.
Chunxi is a big cluster of skyscrapers, malls, cafes, bars and countless small shops. I liked my walking there.
川剧 aka Sichuan Opera. This is one of the cultural heritages you must be familiarized if you're living in China. Very impressive show. Mostly Sichuan Opera is famous due to its spectacular masks changing show. Yes, it's amazing. How they are doing it? I still can't figure it out.
Except that one you can enjoy the brilliant musicians, Comedy shows telling you the stories happened in Chengdu in ancient times Most famous and funny is the story about wife punishing her husband for gambling and drinking. The shadow performance is... I don't know how to explain. All those animals, they were like real on the screen.
My best experience in Chengdu
Tian Fu Square in Chengdu. The big space! Wind let you feel yourself free. I don't know but I like this square. May be my impression was influenced by my previous staying in lacking space places, overcrowded walking streets or parks with narrow paths and tree branches roof above the head. Yes, if you feel lacking of space, just come here.
Chengdu People's Park. There always a lot of people. Here you can enjoy walking through the green area. Also this place introduces the story of the Chinese soldiers and regular citizens resistance against Japanese invaders. The underground can show the shelter where civilians took a cover during air bombing. The memorial Stella keeps a memory about those horrible days.
There are also many tables and tents offering different kinds of tea for tired travellers or recreating locals. Why not to take a cap if green tea?
Anshun Bridge is another symbol of Chengdu. This bridge is located on one of the hundreds city water channels. Especially, beautiful during the night. Due to the high interest to this place from visitors, surrounding area became a place of many bars and restaurants.
Illumination in Chengdu is outstanding everywhere. Of course, the right light and correct brightness contributed a lot to make an attraction from usual bridge.
Wenshu Monastery. This is big and old monastery in Chengdu with adorned pillars at the entrances to shrines and temples and typically for curved roofs. The area is very big, required time is no less than two hours. The monastery has long green alleys and park with stone sculptures. Bamboo and subtropical trees make it a little bit dark and mysterious.
Many tourist are coming there. Subway station is very close to ticket office
